Well... we went to Atlanticade Motorcycle Rally for our first run with the trailer.. and it was fun and our new experience. It worked out great, and our neighbor with a trailer kept hauling people over to look at it because Dan did such a great job. Im telling you, it is so comfortable, and it poured with rain and we stayed inside and drank coffee and watched the laptop and just got some good ol fashion rest.. something we are not used to.. was wonderful. Only problem is when you are gone for sometime, the heat really bakes it inside.. all you have to do is open it up and waaaaalaaaaa fresh air and it cools it off fast. Was great!.. we bought a broom, a fan and some washing stuff.. and got the packing up down to about 45 minutes.
Just before we left St. Andrews by the Sea, we met a lovely lady called Lilly that said she caught us on the wharf... and video taped us.. she made a special effort to come to St. Stephens to tell us that we were on the wharf and that only one time of year the water raises enough for the boats to come in and they have 12 hours to get back out.. was very cool.. she gaves us her card and we went and checked out her blog.. that is what gave me this idea to input into our own.. how cool is that.. thank you Lilly..
Now, off we go to Maine, through the tiny tiny customs .. that I didnt think we would get through the stalls.. but we made it and were puzzled at how small they were.. what about them big ol trucks that come through.. ? So off to Maine we go, and we found the first camp spot we could.. at something Pond in Clifford Maine.. it was a great spot.. lots of local campers in there. and I wish I had taken more pictures of where we were at.. we just come in set up and then we want to ride.. so it rained all night, but by the time we got up and around we had a glorious day.. off to Bar Harbour and North Harbour to Cadallac Mountain. That is one nice ride up and one nice ride down.. we had a perfect day.. We didnt get to meet Captain Denny, but what a sweet little town that North Harbour is.. the haddock was great at the restaurant, and we actually got to see a nice yellow VW just a year older than the one I had many years ago..
So then we wound our ways back through to Clifford on a back highway.. was a nice ride through the woods.. I wouldnt want to do in the dark tho, but it cut off all of the Brewer and Bangor down town traffic.. so it was perfect.. we got home just before dark.... Then rested up and got ourselves ready to run into the Harley Shop.. that is where we got the stickers that Dan put on the trailer Just to snaz it up a little more.. was great.. we also got a Flag that we can use with the trailer.. very cool...
