Lovers of Life
There is me and my honey... look at them eyes!!
We have been riding together for two years now, and decided that we should experience riding with a trailer and see where it will bring us. Life is so beautiful with my loving husband, one year we were married in May.. and Im looking so forward to the rest of my life with my beautiful husband. We have so many dreams and plans for the future together.. this being one of them.. there are other things we like to do to, but for now I will focus on our summer and the trailer to show you how we started and you can tag along to see where we are going with our life.. So from here we can explore and remember how we started and where we went. Its been great so far.. so hang in there and what us grow in love.....
Two of my favorite pictures.. with the love of my life.......

Well.... look inside
Dan completed painting the trailer and putting things back together.. ohhhhhh I cant wait to go away and test it out, this is going to be so much fun.. and hopefully we got it all right this time around.. It always takes a few trial runs before we get things perfected. So Im ready to rock!..
See from this side you see the Tv shelf that was added.. the light, the mirror and the curtain rod with the screen to keep the bugs out and the other for privacy...
There is my man.. and on this side you can see the cloths rack.. that is going to be so useful, and the added light and the double rack for hanging cloths on.. oh this is gonna be fun.
There you can see the table that is connected to the wall, what a great paint job.. I love it!
Our smoke detector, another cloths rack and the light.. above the clock is our cool black light..
There is a black light in our trailer.. how cool is that...Im getting a freaky Jimi Hendrix poster to put up in side.. lol.. actually it is a nice soft light for the evening.. we could sleep with it on no problem.. That Dan is soooooo smart.. love love my husband...

Ohhh the painting begins
There is Dan, hard at work again!.. gets up in the morning and decides.. hey.. do we have any paint.. and off he goes painting the trailer. The wall in the back is the living room orange we have now, and the beige is the can we bought that was a mistint for $10... I will get a completed picture when its all done.
Everything painted by Sunday.. was the perfect day for painting, and man does it look good.. nice and clean, hopefully we can keep it looking good..... As you can see, there is a new shelf that Dan built on the right hand side. Fits the TV and computer perfectly.. cant wait for the next trip.. if it rains.... who cares....!... we got all the comforts of home on the road.. what more can you ask for....

The Trailer
Dan is amazing.. look at what he has come up with.. When we decided that we could retire, we wanted to see what would be best for us.. financially, etc. That is when we started looking at trucks.. and what a truck we got.. we have a 2500 Chevy Silverado and its clean and in great shape. Dan took the time to undercoat the whole thing.. and its cleaned out and ready for retirement! So all we have to do is pay it off.. lol.. then we were on a trip to Ontario and the highways there are very dangerous ona motorcycle, and it stressed Dan out with me on a bike behind him.. wonder he didnt get a kink in his neck, looking out for me. Dan was very stressed, and we decided that maybe we should ride both on the same bike through the cities, so we threw the idea around about getting a bigger bike.. but we have a bigger bike.. just gotta get more used to my bike, that is all.. and then the trailer came into the conversation.. what a great idea!.. so we decided to check some out.. and waaaalaaaaa found a great low rider trailer made just for bikes. Now that we got the trailer, we have to modify it so we can live in it while we are on the road.. This is the beginning.. so check it out... and stay tuned for updated modifications.. How much fun is this going to be!!!

When we break down the trailer
Nice and bare.. almost good enough to paint!
All the totes fit in nicely and dont slide around because of the bed rails in place.
Once we fold up the bed, fold up the table, put everything in the back of the truck.. they its time to put the bikes in.. and then its time to travel again.... what a great time, and a great way to travel.. here is what it looks like when we have it all ready to go.... one more week of work and we are off again to Quebec.....
Opps.. and about the trailer..
Dan made us a deck out of firewood.... was great.. if only the musquito's would have been sleeping!
The bed folds down and is great!.. home away from home.. Dan is making the fire to keep the bugs away.. didnt work.....
Well let me tell you... In this trailer we have a fold down bed, electricity, a table and chairs, a toilet, a hot plate to cook on and a fridge. We also bring along the lap top in case we are within range of the internet.. so we can watch it if if rains.. I have movies and shows on it so that if we are in a bind, we can relax and catch up with our series... its so much fun.. so you can see here that Dan has made us a deck to sit on now.. once the door is open, he used fire wood to keep us up.. what a cool idea.. and of course while we were on this trip.. ideas were just buzzing around Dan's head.. so here you can see what it was like as we folded down the trailer to leave Maine and go back to Nova Scotia.. how cool eh!

Our home away from home
This is inside before the bed is made... me still trying to get on the internet.. the whole vacation I was unsuccessful...
There ya go.. bed all made up with the TV and the computer all in its place... love it!

This is the other side looking from the bed... everything you need.... home away from home.
oh its slow!!!
I thought I would test the speed out, and I would like to begin from our beginning of the trip.. so I decided to upload this picture. Its our bracelets are what we bought each other on our last trip.. how sweet eh.. Since Dan lost his bracelet that he bought in Dupai that he bought ten years ago, we decided never to buy anything that expensive to loose again.. it has more meaning that we bought it for each other.. I love Dan's.. he looks so good in jewelery... so this is the beginning.. starting from our last trip...lol... I will try some others.. a guy just came over to our campsite asking me how I got onto the internet.. cause he has been trying for days with no luck.. so I guess I'm fortunate to even get in........ what a beautiful day it is here.. and it so relaxing.. I love life!!!! xo
Ohhh man no internet....
Hey, we haven't had the internet til today and it keeps shutting down on me...so I will try to do what I can til I get cut off.... sorry about that. We are at old Orchard Beach at the moment in a very expensive campground. And get this NO MOTORCYCLES allowed.. they didn't know we had bikes in the trailer... so we booked for three nights because there was nothing available.. this was our last resort and there is NO REFUNDS for any reason.. so we are stuck. Dan is not impressed.. but we will make the best of it - of course because that is the way we are. They told us we can park or motorcycles up at the front of the campsite.. which is really far away.. and leave them there - but not to drive them through the campsite! Its beautiful riding around here tho.. so Im looking forward to getting out for a ride. There are 750 people camping here in this one site.. so that is probably why the internet is so slow... so bear with me.. I can do this while Dan has his nose in his book that he is reading.. I love to see Dan read.. makes the mind stronger and he is really relaxing and enjoying it.. so that makes me happy.. so I will now try to upload a couple of pictures and see how that works now... wish me luck!

Captain Denny's Place
This is the 68 Volkswagon.. I had a 1969 same colour as this one.. but no rag top roof.. Mine had a shifter that you had to shift but no clutch.. was wild.. loved that car!..
Eating at the restaurant in North Harbour Maine, oh oh the fish was so good there...
Ok.. was doing the Pipi thing with my hair.. it was a hot day....
Having a rest at Captain Denny's
I forgot to add the pictures.. I was having a Pipi day with my hair cause it was so so so hot.. was a great restaurant we stopped in tho.. here are the intruder pictures for evidence that we were there...
Bar Harbour, Maine
Well Bar Harbour was HOT!.. but we went into it, its a tourist trap that is for sure.. but very nicely kept.. there are alot of boats there.. We took a break and sat on the waterfront as you can see here.. We also went to North Harbour, where Dan left a note for Captain Denny and took a little break on his deck.. lol.. was a wonderful day with my husband..
Last time I seen a ship that big was with Dan on Day one of our relationship in Cape Breton, we thought it was Paul McCarney's since he was in town and that was the rumor.. this one was just as big!
Cadillac Mountain in Maine
Well... we went to Atlanticade Motorcycle Rally for our first run with the trailer.. and it was fun and our new experience. It worked out great, and our neighbor with a trailer kept hauling people over to look at it because Dan did such a great job. Im telling you, it is so comfortable, and it poured with rain and we stayed inside and drank coffee and watched the laptop and just got some good ol fashion rest.. something we are not used to.. was wonderful. Only problem is when you are gone for sometime, the heat really bakes it inside.. all you have to do is open it up and waaaaalaaaaa fresh air and it cools it off fast. Was great!.. we bought a broom, a fan and some washing stuff.. and got the packing up down to about 45 minutes.
Just before we left St. Andrews by the Sea, we met a lovely lady called Lilly that said she caught us on the wharf... and video taped us.. she made a special effort to come to St. Stephens to tell us that we were on the wharf and that only one time of year the water raises enough for the boats to come in and they have 12 hours to get back out.. was very cool.. she gaves us her card and we went and checked out her blog.. that is what gave me this idea to input into our own.. how cool is that.. thank you Lilly..
Now, off we go to Maine, through the tiny tiny customs .. that I didnt think we would get through the stalls.. but we made it and were puzzled at how small they were.. what about them big ol trucks that come through.. ? So off to Maine we go, and we found the first camp spot we could.. at something Pond in Clifford Maine.. it was a great spot.. lots of local campers in there. and I wish I had taken more pictures of where we were at.. we just come in set up and then we want to ride.. so it rained all night, but by the time we got up and around we had a glorious day.. off to Bar Harbour and North Harbour to Cadallac Mountain. That is one nice ride up and one nice ride down.. we had a perfect day.. We didnt get to meet Captain Denny, but what a sweet little town that North Harbour is.. the haddock was great at the restaurant, and we actually got to see a nice yellow VW just a year older than the one I had many years ago..
So then we wound our ways back through to Clifford on a back highway.. was a nice ride through the woods.. I wouldnt want to do in the dark tho, but it cut off all of the Brewer and Bangor down town traffic.. so it was perfect.. we got home just before dark.... Then rested up and got ourselves ready to run into the Harley Shop.. that is where we got the stickers that Dan put on the trailer Just to snaz it up a little more.. was great.. we also got a Flag that we can use with the trailer.. very cool...

Ok.. so we are on the road again.... off to Grand Falls NB
We had a great drive to Grand Falls.. and Dan had booked ahead of time.. so it was great that we got there in time to unload the bikes and then set up the trailer.. Dan the smart man set up the deck for us to sit out and maybe read, and enjoy the relaxation.. we no sooner got out there. .and I looked behind us and there was a huge big black cloud.. hmmmm didnt look good.. so Dan decided to put the covers on the motorcycles.. no sooner was he trying to do that and we got hit with a freak storm.. The storm came in so fast.. we got everything inside including ourselves and then the storm hit.. freakishly high winds and then the pounding down rain.. the covers wouldnt even stay on the bikes.. so we just left them off.. and sat inside the trailer not saying a word to each other.. That Dan.. he only said.. " do we have the axe in here?" lol.. was wild let me tell you.. so we decided to just watch a little tv and wait it out.. It was over as quick as it started, so out to the deck we go again..
This is a picture of bike that the lady that was ruding the campsite rode.. nice!... and they were having a poker run that afternoon.. like... yipppeee biker friendly..... was a great campsite..

Great Grand Falls...
These are the Falls in Grand Falls NB.. it was nice there.. there was a zipper ride that you could do across the falls.. not my thing.. but I dont mind watching.. was a gorgeous day out.. and we did enjoy ourselves.. while we were there.. we decided to check into the border crossing.. to see how far it was to the other side.. we had the day ahead of us.. so why not check out the US of A... so we left from here to go to Maine..
Look at my handsome biker husband .. I love this shot.. but there is a better one coming.... :)
There is Dan on the deck... what a great idea... While Dan was sitting out there.. one of the campers came over and asked us to join their fire.. most there were French.. so it was a French fire.. and it was funny because he knew Dan's Dad.. from many years ago.. or someone in the family.. I think it was his dad tho.. He also gave us a heads up on a great bike weekend just 5 minutes from Pierreville that we may check out next year if we take our vacation later on in the summer.. He was quite the gabber..
There is my no helmut Dan.. on his way to the bathroom... took his bike because he to go.. and he had to go NOW!
See its really not that far.. just down the end of this road.. but he was in a hurry..
